Southside BJJ are committed to ensuring
a safe and inclusive environment.
Southside BJJ and all affiliates are committed to ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all our members and those who practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We take pride in informing our community that our gym upholds a zero-tolerance policy against any form of behavior that goes against our values, especially when it comes to inappropriate behaviour against women.
We firmly believe in the principles of respect, integrity, and equality. Our code of conduct reflects these ideals, emphasizing the importance of treating everyone with dignity and promoting a culture of mutual respect. Any individual who engages in or supports actions that contradict our moral and professional standards will not be welcome to train or teach at our club. We reserve the right to immediately terminate any existing student membership or staff employment contract in the event of any form of unacceptable behaviour.
At Southside BJJ, we have cultivated a supportive and close-knit community. A place where anyone who wishes to practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu can thrive. Our dedication to fostering a safe environment extends beyond the walls of our gym. We stand firmly against any form of misconduct, not only within our own establishment but also in any other setting.
By adhering to these principles and promoting an atmosphere of inclusivity, we aim to create a space where individuals can pursue their passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu without any fear of discrimination, sexual harassment or any form of physical or psychological abuse.
We encourage open dialogue, active listening, and continuous education to ensure that our community remains strong, united, and respectful.
Southside BJJ remains committed to championing the rights and well-being of all individuals, regardless of gender, age or culture. We invite everyone to join us in this mission, as together we can cultivate a culture that empowers and uplifts all members of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu community.
Should you wish to discuss any of the above, or how you currently feel about our training environments, please feel free to speak with one of us directly.
